When you walk through the front door at Elevenses, you are greeted by massive smiles from the staff and the bright yellow walls which the owner says looks like a great big cheese! The coffee here is worth travelling great distances for. They use Obscura Coffee but sometimes use blends and single origins from Toby's Estate and Venezziano. This place is definitely one of the most dog and bicycle friendly places in the Kensington and Flemington area. I was told by one dog owner that her dog drags her across the road to the cafe every day, even when they're closed. When you sit in Elevenses, you feel like you're a guest in someone's kitchen. It is an open layout with a couple of communal tables and retro vinyl seats by the window. Everyone seems to know each other here, regulars greet each other as they come in and out in a constant stream. With good tunes coming from the record player, the dinging of the train boom gates, the light chatter from the customers and wagging of dogs' tails, Elevenses is 'the place' to be in Kensington
