Received an 'Honourable Mention' in Crema Magazine's Top Cafes of Melbourne for 2008. Serving their own specially tailored blend of Atomica coffee, and running with a highly coveted Synesso Cyncra coffee machine, this quaint cafe is set in a distressed timber weather board building, which features a hands-on approach to renovating. And although the site used to be a Milk Bar, you get the distinct feeling that you are lounging in someones home, and this warm and cozy feeling is further reinforced by relaxed but professional service in cozy surrounds . Inside this L-shaped space you'll find some of the best coffee that Melbourne has to offer, impeccably made and served with a minimum of fuss, by staff who are as funky as their surrounds.
This cafe was recommended highly by a friend but I found my poached pears a tad disappointing and my long black unspectacular. The service made the experience regrettable.
What a great little place in the middle of suburban Brunswick, put together with recycled type furniture, the outside seating has been put together with old milkcrates with cushions on them. This place is absolutely buzzing on the weekends where all the locals flock too. The coffee is incredible and always consistent however you may need to wait a bit. Great breakfast as well. Its about time these little local places offer something great to their customers, beats travelling to town. Keep it up guys.
