Pioneer Coffee Roastery has got to be the mecca for coffee drinkers in Queensland. From the selection of coffees they roast on site in a beautiful Diedrich roaster to the expert advice and enthusiasm for what they do. Be it advice on coffee for home, equipment or some of their lovely gourmet bagels, we spent hours there and left very caffeinated. These guys picked up 6 Fine Foods Medals in 2006 alone, and you can taste why. They have some beautiful blends and very interesting single origins on offer. Well worth the trip to the coast, and stop by if traveling north from Brisbane.
