Coffee at this cafe is roasted locally, and while the shopping centre ambience is not entirely the best, inside, it's quiet, and the staff are friendly, and efficient. They seem to know their coffee fairly well (though when enquiring what the "single origin of the day" was on their drinks menu, they quickly turned to blank stares, and a quick run back to the kitchen, to find out they "don't do that any more". Coffee itself is well made. I always feel a place can be judged by their short blacks, and the coffee is very well balanced. Other family members profess that they make excellent milk based beverages also. Breakfast menu is fairly standard, but have a nice selection of bread (grain/sourdough etc), which is a nice touch. Eggs are generally done well - a basic which a lot of other cafes seem to get wrong.

This cafe has been going for about four years now. it recently changed hands and things are looking up.. while it is in Toowoomba, it has great service and you know you will get what you ordered the first time. The new owner is young and has a Gold Coast background. Expect to see him on the coffee machine at all hours of the day, either making your drink or training the staff. If you want good cafe food, a view of the main street, carefully made espresso drinks and friendly staff, track this place down. The only down side to the cafe is the crap atmosphere. something needs to be done about the paint and the fit out..
