Decided to go to Island espresso while in Hobart on a business trip after reading about it on here. It's in a similar location to where I was going to be working. Loved the old building, loved the fact that it doesn't look like hudsons or gloria jeans as it seems the trend is these days. My espresso was mind blowing, so fruity and chocolatey and following that my flat white was smooth creamy but still nice and strong the way I like it. I didn't eat but had a cookie instead. Definitely want to come back here when I'm in town and sit for a bit longer.

Not sure when the other review was written but I totally disagree, the coffee is excellent and so is everything else about this lovely little cafe.

Had read about this cafe on coffeegeek. Very disappointing, my short black was acidic,tasteless with a almost no crema. My partner had a latte and sadly milk did not fix the problem. Seriously I would wonder if the people on coffeegeek knew what they were talking about. Will tell my friends NOT to go when visiting Hobart!
