Nice cafe, brilliant coffee and presentation. It's hard to find quality coffee houses in Geelong and these guys are the ones stepping up and leading by example. I have been living in the area for a number of years and waiting for something special, Coffee By Design are new on the scene and carving a reputation for high quality coffee and food.

As a big fan of cremamagazine.com I can find all the highly rated coffee houses on my business journeys. I must say coffee by design or CBD as it states on their coffee card is as unassuming as it gets. A plaque above the barista's coffee machine signafies a recent award for 'best coffee' so I had to test this. At the end of my visit I realised I had consumed 3 different coffee's - 1 being one of the barista's signature drinks and without doubt these guys know their stuff,despite the 'please order and pay at front counter' sign I ordered all my drinks paying for them at the end,very high level of service, skill and coffee flair. Highly recommended? Yes, indeed.

I visited this cafe several times after they took out 2nd place in the Golden Plate awards for best coffee in the Geelong/Otways region and was blown away by the level of service but most importantly consistency. Temperature, body and texture to all variants of coffee's I sampled were expertly executed and the artwork is of world standard. I feel compelled to highly recommend this establishment to all coffee lovers - both occassional and afficionado. Outstanding.

Well I got recommended to go to this cafe and was impressed by the coffee art. The guy is detailed with each cup. Very friendly team who remembered my friend and they even gave me a free chocolate. Not sure why. All the same they were most welcoming and their chef certainly has skill, my meal even looked spectacular! Watch this place and name. Extremely worthwhile. Peta
