This family run business has quickly built a name for it's self, opening in 2005, and quickly aquiring a huge following with its personal service, friendly staff, and focus on each individual cup. Owner Richard is happy to run off any of the numerous single origins on demand, and always has something to chat about.

The quality of coffee has dropped in the last couple of months due to losing a dedicated member of staff. The new staff members do not seem as dedicated to creating a great tasting coffee which in turn does not create such an enjoyable experience as before. It really is a shame, as I haven't been able to enjoy the coffee and the atmosphere as I previously did. Hopefully this will change shortly because it really is a great coffee if done well.

I have to agree with the second comment, the coffee taste and experience has dropped off. I have to either get a mocha or put sugar in my coffee to make it taste better. Bring back the best barista I've seen in Ballarat, it's such a shame that she was let go. She made not only the best tasting coffee in town, but also made it a pleasure experience every time I walked through the door. Bring Kat back so we can have great tasting coffee again!

The Coffee was Great at one time it has now dropped dramatically, where you used to wait for 5 min to get your coffee you are now waiting up to 20 min. There are certain staff members who do not appriciate the art of coffee and that take the experiance down dramatically. I think the owner needs to reassess his staff members and get some new ones that appriciate coffee a lot more and are actually good at customer service and nor rude to the customers.

In all fairness the owner, Richard, knows his stuff. He gave me 3 different bean blends to try in espresso form and I was seriously impressed by all of them.He doesn't stock much food but the Texas muffins are divine and it is a casual and relaxed atmosphere to have a read and enjoy the brew. Worth visiting if you are SERIOUS about finding the freshest coffee available and roasted in house.

Had a coffee from here that made me physical sick, I was sick 5 min after finishing the coffee - take my advice and STAY AWAY
