Had to comment on a comment,why would you keep visiting a cafe over and over if you didnt like it? I dont go back when the coffee and food are bad,makes you wonder? This place is unique, smaller and quieter than the Breakwater site but the coffee is still excellent and I believe the best freshly roasted in Geelong. This cafe is parent friendly as well, nice music, and the staff are knowledgable and can't do enough for you.We often have meetings there and so do lots of local businesses and parents groups.The Cartel got voted the best cafe in Geelong in the Advertiser by both the people and the judges.Keep up the good work Cartel!

Have to give it to these guys - kudos ! I brought some Esmeralda Special from these guys this year and love the fact these guys work hard at providing some great coffee locally. They have a roastery in Breakwater that rocks.. Bellpost is a little laid back but cool, it's all about the coffee..

Great coffee, great tea. Loved the experience of an Ethiopian Harrar to the tunes of afrobeat music. Service from friendly staff was educational and informative about the origin of the bean and the people who produce it.

Have been to this cafe numerous times and have lived around Australia drinking coffee in as many speciality cafe as possible, I love this place - it's unique and provides some good coffees, I belive they change daily there single origins. It's a breath of fresh air that somebody actually cares about serving coffee in Geelong.

I live locally and have visited Coffee Cartel numerous times, each time hoping for better coffee and food...and even service (which has sometimes been sloppy and clumsy). The decor is nice for a suburban cafe but inside is often freezing, which detracts from the ambience. Just because the owners roast coffee beans and have a website does not a good-cafe-maketh.
