Those of you who have the Achille have noticed that it takes quite a bot of force to pull the lever down into the cocked position. I decided to try and figure out how much force it really takes.
So, with my trusty digital bathroom scale, and what I remember from my statics class back in 1976 (Statics hasn't changed since then, right?) I figured I could weigh myself holding the lever right before it locks down into the pre-infusion position, and then just weigh myself.
Without divulging the details, the difference between the two numbers is 34.5 pounds. That is 153.5 newtons to you (we can pretend it is mass and call it 15.65 kg)
I would be curious if Michael or Paul see similar numbers.
